The very best part
We were listening to some Christmas music this morning and heard a song called "The very best part of Christmastime." The message is that the best part is the present you give away. Well Hazel looked puzzled and told me emphatically that that is NOT the best part of Christmas.I was waiting for the inevitable part about getting stuff, or Santa, or any one of those typical answers when I asked what she thought the best part was.
"Thinking about Baby Jesus being born and feeling joy in my heart is the best part!"
How humbled I am.

Oh, that's what I call a "tucker" - you just tuck that away into your heart, and it keeps you going on the days you don't feel particularly motivated.

I love it when they GET it. That's the best feeling.
